Drakensang: River of Time. If you liked the older ones this one is seriously good. Big upgrade in graphics, Combat system is smooth. The game isn't well known in America as it is based of a pen/paper game in Germany. However it shares a lot of similarities to DND and many other RPGs. I have been a fan of this series.

When I first had win 7 (no online updates) a few years ago, these games ran fine. Something in a windows update may have made the game unplayble. It's weird. sooner or later, the game will be patched to run on the newer systems. No disrespect intended, but I seriously doubt they will bother to update the game for a new windows versions.

whoa, I'm a big fan of RPGs and this seems to have everything. I love the fact that it has various Social Skills, a silver-tongue rogue is my fav type of character to play, and I have high hopes for this game. It took a little bit of effort to get it working properly though, had to buy Borderless Gaming for 3.99 from Steam (which works great), and had to set a launch option, but now the game

A DRM-free/CD version available of Drakensang:ROT available or is it Steam only? There is, the one I got was bundled with the first game, but it also had the expansion. I found it on Amazon. A number of different types are listed on Amazon. Game only, Game bundled.
Man I can't believe how this game slipped under the radar! The graphics and character animations, voice overs are amazing for a game released in 2011! Too bad it doesn't support 2560x1440 resolution though
